Calcium Rich Barfi - Sesame Barfi

Benefits:

  • Jaggery is rich in iron and minerals

Ingredients:

  • White sesame seeds – 1 cup
  • Jaggery granulated – ¾ cup
  • Pure cow ghee – 2 tablespoon
  • Water – 2 tablespoons
  • Small cardamom – 2 pice

Method of preparation:

  1. Roast sesame seeds in a pan on medium flame till golden and let it cool. Grind it in a grinder and make a powder. Make cardamom powder too.
  2. Heat Ghee in a pan, then add granulated jaggery and water to it.
  3. Melt the jaggery till it starts forming strings.
  4. Add ground sesame powder and ground cardamom powder to it and mix well.
  5. Turn off the gas and when the mixture cools down a bit, cut it into diamond shapes.
  6. When it cools down, keep it in an airtight container.
